attack of the fifty foot worm

This was taken with my phone, so I'm sorry it's grainy. But, these kind of photos are going to have to do until we buy a new camera. Lame sauce.
Seriously though, look at this tomato worm! It's apparently the larva of the five spotted hawk moth. Read more about it here. Really, you should. It's much more interesting than you might think.

  1. Those things are very cool, but wreak so much damage on our tomato plants. Dh doesn't mind squishing them, but I can't get myself to. Ick. They're the same color green on the inside too.

  5. YUCK!!! I deal with them by snipping off the brach they are on and then cutting them in half over the trash can as I close my eyes, sing so as not to hear them and gag!!!!
