Actual bra size and Westie puppies.

I watched this BBC special about women living with large breasts and it really hit home. It said that something like 80% of women wear the wrong bra size. So, naturally, I set out to find my correct size. I've been wearing a 36DD for about 3 years now, and it hasn't ever felt quite right. I called Victoria's Secret and they don't make anything larger than a DD, and they told me to go to Lane Bryant. That was depressing, but I went. Turns out Lane Bryant doesn't carry band sizes smaller than a 38, and they can special order a 36. They sent me to Frederick's of Hollywood, where I discovered that I am a.... (drumroll?) 34G.

34G. Seriously. It sounds absurd.

Anyways, on a different note, I met the cutest 2 month old female Westie puppy today at the mall pet shop. Unfortunately, said adorable puppy costs $959. I'd really like to have another Westie, though. She was so cute! I got to hold her, which was a huge mistake, because I fell in love with her.

Oh, and today I bought this adorable beach cover up at Old Navy, I got it in bright green, which isn't pictured on the site. I love it, it's almost cute enough to wear as a shirt! I also found this awesome Moroccan cookbook at Cost Plus World Market.

Last thing! I found Paper Source, which has, of course, cute stationery! Just look!

Basil for my towels?

So the other day at Whole Foods in Albuquerque I picked up a bottle of Mrs. Meyer's Basil laundry detergent... it is weird. I already have the Lemon Verbena, which I really like, I was going to get the Lavender, but I have so much lavender stuff already. Seriously, I have the dish soap, the counter top spray, the all purpose cleaner... So I thought the basil would be fun to try... I like it, don't get me wrong, I like it. It just smells like I'm making a very sweet pasta sauce every time I open my washing machine... I'll let you know how it grows on me.

I've been looking for the dishwasher detergent everywhere, in lavender, of course. I guess I'll just have to buy it online.

New cookbook

Leah sent me a new book! Thank you Leah!

I'm sure that you can all guess how excited I am about this...

We just got back today from New Mexico. We went for Ricky's sister Rebecca's wedding. It was beautiful, I'm really glad that we were both able to make it. I'll post the link to the photos when they get posted on the website. We ended up boarding Malo for the week and having our neighbor watch Jira. Jira is fine, but we got back too late to pick up Malo, so we're going first thing in the morning. Ricky's dad called as soon as we got in and told us that the vet had called him after we left and said that Malo had gotten sick three times the night before, and so they gave him a shot and said they'd call back if anything else happened. They never called back, which is good, but I'm still stressed out.

Ricky bought a car in Albuquerque and we drove back, which was... an adventure... We stopped in New Orleans to pick up my car and I followed him the rest of the way. Alabama drivers are jerks, by the way.

In case anyone was wondering, these are the cars we ended up getting.

I have a 2004 VW Golf, four door, black.

He has a 2005 Subaru Legacy Outback, green, with a roof rack. He likes the roof rack.

They're both great cars that totally fit our needs. We're really happy with them.

We're here!

Well, we arrived in Florida on Monday, and our phone/internet was turned on yesterday. We started painting on day two, and the living room looks beautiful! We decided on a dusty blue called "Provence," and it looks fabulous, I'm really happy with it.

I've also discovered two new lavender-related things that I love.

Revolution Earl Grey Lavender Tea

Rachel's Plum Honey and Lavender Yogurt

We don't have any of our things yet, so I can't cook! Yesterday at Publix we bought a cheap saucepan, a small cutting board, a chef's knife, and a 12 inch skillet. I can work with that. I can't wait for my kitchen to be here, though.
