Last night I finally made chocolate chip cookies for Ricky. I bake all the time, but his all time favorite baked good is the Nestle Tollhouse cookie recipe. Go figure.
It was his last dinner from me for three months, and he wanted chicken curry, so that's what I made.
White meat chicken, onions, garlic, ginger, tomato paste, spices, tomatoes, cilantro... all on hot basmati rice. Seriously the perfect meal.
Today before he left he wanted breakfast for lunch. 2 eggs, pancakes, bacon, and orange juice. He's so easy to please!
On a happy note, when I was uploading pictures I found this. He must have taken it before I started cooking. Sweetheart.I'm sad that Ricky is gone, and will be gone until the middle of March. I already miss him. I know that he is only in New Mexico, and that this is one month shorter than all the other deployments we've been through. We'll be able to talk often, and the time will fly by.
I only have 13 Mondays to go. That doesn't sound so bad.
Who the hell am I going to cook for?!
I don't know, I hear parts of New Mexico are more dangerous than Afghanistan:-) Just kidding. 30,000 troops to Afghaniland and Ricky goes to New Mexico, you are blessed.
