One thing that I do really like about living in the States again is the opportunity to shop at stores like TJMaxx. They always have the cutest (and strangest) things, things that I can't ever seem to find in other stores. Today I picked this super cute jewelry stand. I love bird themed anything, and this looks so adorable on my bedroom dresser.
I also found these cream colored hand towels with a gold "P." We all know by now how much I love monogrammed things, especially for my guest room/guest bath. These are perfect, and I got 10 for $3.00.
It was a great day. We went to see The Men Who Stare At Goats, which was hilarious. I love Clooney, Spacey, Bridges, and McGregor, so I was already expecting something good. Definitely go see this if you haven't yet.
Watched the sun set on Navarre Beach.
Went to Starbucks (this is Ricky looking at me like I'm stupid after paying $6.50 for my drink and then tipping $2.00, but hey, once you work at a coffee shop you understand, and I can't get my triple grande soy 3 pump toffee nut 2 pump white mocha no whip just anywhere, now can I?)
Then we went to see Lynard Skynard play in Pensacola. No, this isn't really our thing, but Ricky's sister got him tickets for his birthday. Not because she thought we particularly liked Skynard, but because she wanted to get us something that we could go out and do together, which was very nice! Most of our weekends are spent in, and this was a nice change of pace. They're in the hall of fame, so I guess this was an experience? We had a good time.
