So apparently Southern Alabama is the land that time forgot. For serious.
Ricky and I were driving through, and started to notice the lack of businesses, the tiny towns with run down houses and cars on blocks, the diminutive convenience stores with plywood signs, the vast fields of cotton...it all seemed so surreal. Peaceful, but strange.

South Alabama makes me sad every time I pass through. Our state gov't only serves to step on our necks here. We are the example of why theocracy is a bad idea.
