Steekhouse.

The other day I wanted banana bread. It was awesome. Banana, walnut, cream, vanilla bean, and a top secret combination of flours that I will never divulge. Okay, I probably will.

Sadly, the only picture of the finished product that was worth a flark was the one taken with the flash. Lashings of apologies, all around.

That same night I made myself a tasty little Moroccan-inspired vegetable stew. Zucchini, chickpeas, tomatoes, almonds, cinnamon, cayenne, cumin... it was fabulous but way too filling and now there's a pot sitting in my fridge.

On to more fun things... I finally got around to painting the master bath! It's done in Olympic's Classic Khaki, the same color as our master bedroom.

I'm pulling down all the towel bars and replacing them with decorative hooks. I got these three at World Market, I love them. They'll need to be tightened, because it was my first time using power tools and anchors for screws... but I think it looks okay for my first try!

I also discovered that a glass cake stand makes and adorable little stand for my most used toiletries. Cute!

Across the parking lot from me at work is a Burger King. This is a picture of their sign, with the word "Steakhouse" spelled incorrectly. Seriously?
It's been making me laugh for two days.

I got to do my first chalkboard drawing at work today! You have to follow the pattern, which isn't much fun, but I added a cute little border and I think tomorrow I'll draw on some cherries.
Oh! If you live near a Starbucks go try the new Dark Cherry Mocha! I like it with the white chocolate with 2 pumps of vanilla added, but that's just me. =)

Taco Tuesday moved to Mexican Monday. I completely spaced out and didn't take a picture of my food, but this is what my plate of Mahi Mahi tacos looked like once I was done. I was a happy camper.
Today Malo and Maggie had a vet appointment. Together. I thought it would be a good idea, I guess? Thank goodness Angelina came with me, because as soon as we got there (it's their first time, we've switched vets) Malo took two giant poops right on the floor of the exam room. And then peed twice. He's never behaved that way at a vet appointment before! I was mortified, but I was assured that it was nothing they hadn't experienced before there. They just got too worked up with the other in the room. Both pups tested negative for heart worm (they've been off their meds since December, I'm a bad mom!) and are now on Interceptor.
Lesson learned, I'll never schedule them both for the same appointment again. What was I thinking?
