I love Norman! We had a couple of copperheads live right next to the house, helping to guard our blueberry bushes from chipmunks...which I appreciated, but we were constantly worried that we'd step on a copperhead by accident in our zeal to get to the blueberries. Luckily, they seem to have eaten their fill of chipmunks and left. :}

I believe so, or a small rat snake perhaps? I haven't looked into the local wildlife, but if I had to bet on it, I's say Garter.
